Field Spaniels, Maine Coons & Siberians

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. When a beloved pet dies they go an wait at Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the pets who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

They are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The nose twitches, the ears are up, his bright eyes are intent and his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Two very touching poems that say it all

"With a heavy heart" With a heavy heart, and a tear in my eye, after all these years, we must say goodbye. Please understand, we've done all we could, if there was anything we could do, you know we would. I'm sitting right here, gently rubbing your ears, while I talk to you softly, trying to hold back the tears. The memories you gave us, we'll never forget, especially the one of the day we met. Boris Lyndongraey Boris 24.08.2006 - 10.07.2010
Another star in heaven tonight and every night. Boris was tragically knocked down he was rushed to the vets, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do, and he died of internal bleeding. Boris lived with Graeme & Mandy with his two brothers, Broni and Luka. Rest assured that Boris is with you every day and every night you can see him as a star. He will always be looking down from The Bridge waiting for you. "To say we are devastated and distraught is an understatement. We love our cats so much, they are our children. Boris was a really special boy, a one-off, and the fact that his life ended like that is gut-wrenching in the extreme. We still can't believe it's happened. It may get easier to bear in time, but right now it doesn't seem like it will. We know in our hearts though, that he loved the life he led, hunting in the woods, and romping around to his hearts' content." Look after yourself Boris and enjoy chasing those butterflies with your mum and dad. Good night sweetheart.

Sir Lancelot Lyndongraey Black Knight 22.02.2006 - 02.01.2010

Another star in heaven tonight and every night. Lancie was tragically diagnosed with a blood clot in the heart and to end further suffering the hardest decision ever, but the only right one, was made. Lancie lived with the Powell family and was a constant companion to Audrey, who lost her constant shadow. Rest assured Audrey that Lancie is with you every day and every night you can see him as a star. He will always be looking down from The Bridge waiting for you. Look after yourself Lancie and enjoy chasing those butterflies. Good night sweetheart.

2009

Two more stars in heaven tonight as we had to say goodbye to our two "Golden Oldies", Abbey & Freya. We have had so much fun over the years with these two girls, neither of them liked to work in the field, especially Freya who was very gun-shy and hated loud noises, but both did well in the show ring and represented the Field Spaniel breed at many events throughout the country but best of all they were wonderful family pets who are so badly missed by us all. Freya was a real daddy's girl and Ray has now lost his shadow. We decided that at 14 and 15 years old and with their health failing that it would be lovely for them to go to Rainbow Bridge together but it was one of the hardest things we have done and we hope that they are now looking down feeling young and in good health again. Go and find Bazil, Chester and all our other Lyndongraey babies and enjoy chasing those pheasants until we meet again, good night sweethearts. The above two photos were the last ones we have of Abbey & Freya so we thought you may like to see some more photos of our girls over the years.

Woody Lyndongraey Lord Voldemort 31 July 2007 - 22 October 2009
Ray and I are totally devastated to hear the tragic news about Woody. He had been living with the Cunningham family for the past 2 years and 2 months ago his half brother, Buzz was introduced, but sadly Woody was knocked over and is now looking down from Rainbow Bridge. Below is what Paul had to say about their wonderful dog. "Sorry to have had to give you the bad news yesterday. Woody was a wonderful dog and came from a great home, it was a pleasure and an honour to of had such a nice and loving dog, and we have you to thank for that. He will be missed very much, more than I could ever try and put into words and I know that you both know exactly how we feel. Well Tom asked me to send you this photo of him and Woody it was at the show this year where they came second in the young handler class. Tom was very proud of his dog, so he asked me to pass on this photo to you so he could show you how much he loved his dog. We cannot thank you and Ray enough for your kind offer of another puppy, may be next year, as you will know I can't think about that sort of thing at the moment but I think that Buzz will need another companion to help him, but he seems to be coping well at the moment. He does go to where we had Woody laid over night and whimper and cry a bit but he will get over it in time, I hope, with some extra love from the rest of the family. Well just to let you know we took Woody to be cremated today and we have choosen a hand carved wooden sculpture of a dog with a bone for his ashes to be put in, then we can bring him home and he can lay by the fire and he will still be with the people he loved and the ones that loved him. Once again I'm very sorry for having to give you such bad news, but Woody introduced us to what we consider to be the BEST breed of dog ever, and myself and Pauline would like to say we think you and Ray are a credit to the breed, so thankyou and we will keep in touch." Woody will be sorely missed by us all - go and find all our other Lyndongraey babies and look after yourselves. Good night sweetheart.

Merlin Fife European Premier Kassaro Texussilver 21 November 1999 - 30 September 2009
	Another star in heaven tonight and forever in my heart. Merlin was diagnosed with kidney failure and to end further suffering we took the hardest decision ever, but the only right one. Merlin was my very first Maine Coon who looked after George & Vassiliy when he was here - now go and find Vassie and he will look after you at The Bridge and I promise to watch out for your shadow, George who is searching for you all the time. Look after yourselves boys and enjoy chasing those butterflies, until we meet again. Good night sweethearts.

Chilli Ch. Kassaro Kayla 24 May 2001 - 27 August 2009
Chilli has been living with Natalya for the past four and half years, sadly she passed away and is now looking down from Rainbow Bridge. Below is what Natalya had to say about "Princess Chilli". "I am utterly devastated, she was a little shining light of love and happiness in my life. She brought me such joy and life is not the same without her cuddling up in bed and sending me to sleep with her purrs; not to mention the chirrups and miaows all the time and the constant fluffy shadow following me everywhere and into absolutely everything. It will take some time to get used to coming home to silence instead of to a happy greeting from Chilli telling me all about the birds she's been watching from the window and shoving her nose into whatever bag I'm carrying. She was curious and playful all the time and I shall miss her companionship and love of life terribly. Her ashes are scattered in the gardens so she can still watch the birds." She will be sorely missed by all of us - go and find all our other Lyndongraey babies and look after yourselves until we meet again. Good night sweetheart.

Vassiliy TICA Supreme Grand Champion & Fife European Champion Taurus Goloubchik, DSM 13 July 2003 - 30 January 2009
	Another star in heaven tonight and forever in my heart. He seemed a little flat, so I took him to see Nico on the Monday and by Friday Vassiliy told me that it was his time to say goodbye. He had been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. I miss you so very much especially your headbutts in the morning at breakfast - but know that you are now looking down from Rainbow Bridge in perfect health again. Go and find all our other Lyndongraey babies and look after yourselves until we meet again. Good night sweetheart.

Anya FIFe Grand International Champion Vesna Sibirskaya's Anfisa 27 June 2004 - 05 June 2008
	Another star in heaven tonight - we had to say goodbye to our lovely Anya today to save her from further suffering. She had been diagnosed with a very rare aggressive cancer back in April, so we hope we made your last few weeks as enjoyable as possible. We miss you in your favourite spots around the house and garden, sitting on the table in the sunshine - but know that you are now looking down from Rainbow Bridge in perfect health again. Go and find all our other Lyndongraey babies and look after yourselves until we meet again. Good night sweetheart.

Freddy December 2006 - May 2008

Thank you to everyone, especially the train driver who spotted Freddy, unfortunately he was tragically killed on the line. Freddy had a wonderful life, albeit so short. He was a little character and is missed by the whole family and will always be remembered - he is now looking down from Rainbow Bridge.

Tragically knocked over. Thank you Sandra & Sonny for giving Charlie a great life, albeit so short. He was a great character and will always be looking down from Rainbow Bridge.

Solo (Lyndongraey Hans Solo) 5 April 2006 - 21 April 2006

We had to say goodbye to this little boy at only 16 days old, he had a really rough start in life and decided that it wasn't for him. Goodnight sweetheart and I hope you are happy at Rainbow Bridge.

Kara (Lyndongraey Topaz) 27 February 2005 - 6 February 2006

Chester (Milljohn Moorlander at Lyndongraey) 15 September 1991- 6 February 2005	Chester was our first Field Spaniel, he proved a wonderful introduction to this vulnerable breed. He was liver in colour, very handsome, our constant companion, very loyal and our best friend. Go and find Bazil and Neva and the three of you behave yourselves and enjoy comfort and health again. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd come straight up to heaven and bring you home again. I miss you so very much, be happy until we meet again at Rainbow Bridge!

2004

Neva (Tiggytykes Annaneva) 17 March 2003 - 23 July 2004

Neva our first Siberian, so cruelly taken far too early, but a fantastic introduction to this wonderful breed - thank you Neva. Neva settled in very quickly and didn't stop purring since the day she arrived. Her breeder, Sue Bellew, called her a 'purr-pot' and I have to agree with her, she purred to the very end. Miss you loads; you never knew Bazil but find him, he will look after you - be happy until we meet at Rainbow Bridge!

2001

Bazil (Highclare Buster Brown at Lyndongraey) 5 July 1990 - 27 January 2001	Bazil was our first dog, he was a very naughty Welsh Springer Spaniel. Loved by all who knew him and a constant companion to Chester. Miss you loads; be happy until we meet at Rainbow Bridge!
