Topaz enjoying herself at Broadlands Game Fair, in fact the above picture has appeared in
Shooting Times, unfortunately it does not state that she is a Field Spaniel

If only she would stop to the whistle like this!!

There's a village somewhere that is missing it's idiot!!!

Hopefully Topaz will achieve some good results in the show ring from March 2006 and is in training with the Mid Sussex Working Spaniels. Watch this space for further news......

Sebastian and Darcey

Well what can we say about Darcey. She has a wonderful character, full of fun and energy. So much so, that she is in training with the Mid Sussex Working Spaniel Club and proving to be quite successful at it.

As you can see from Darcey's picture she is a blue roan, this is one of the rarer colours, liver and black being the most common. Darcey is not shown very often due to other commitments, but on the occasions we have shown her she has done extremely well. She will now be joined by her son, Sebastian at shows and working events, once he has completed some basic obedience.

Another holder of the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Bronze and Silver Awards. All the dogs have achieved these awards at the same show within the last three years, so I am very hopeful that it will not be too long before they will all gain the Gold award.

Freya
(Rhiwlas Moonmaple at Lyndongraey)
D.O.B. 2 February 1996
Hip Score 9/6

Freya is our second liver roan and was purchased from the famous Rhiwlas Kennel, owned by Pam and the late Clive Rowlands.

She has done well in the show ring and achieved several first places. She teams up with her kennel mate Abbey and they do extremely well in the brace class.

Freya also holds the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Bronze and Silver Awards and again hopefully she will achieve the Gold Award shortly.

She is definitely a daddy's girl and follows Ray around the house and garden constantly. She has a fantastic temperament, sweet nature and loves to cuddle down on the sofa in the evenings.

From the photographs you can see all our girls are roans. Abbey is our second Field and was born in 1994. She came from an all roan litter and we believe there has only been three litters of this type since the 1930's.

We would like to thank Ray and Janet Norbury for Abbey, she has certainly entertained us over the past 11 years.

Abbey holds the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Bronze and Silver Awards and hopefully she will achieve the Gold Award shortly.

Although shown and worked she was never as successful as we had hoped, always happy when showing but having no interest in working at all!!

All our Field Spaniels have represented the breed at Discover Dogs and working events throughout the country, this is something we enjoy, as do the dogs.
